FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY – September 7, 2021
These charity donations will help offset teachers’ costs in trying to stock their classrooms.
Earlier this week, two local small businesses in Ocean County – S-FX Small Business Solutions, a web design & technology consulting agency, and KCS General Contracting, a home improvement contractor – teamed up to donate 1,800 items supplies to the Ocean Township School District located in Waretown within Ocean County.
The donation is designed to help offset the costs that teachers incur each year in trying to stock their classrooms. “Teachers are the heartbeat of our educational programs and are constantly digging into their own pockets for additional school supplies,” said Shane Skwarek, Owner & Chief Technologist of S-FX. “Even if this saves each teacher enough for an extra cup of coffee, we’re happy to help.”
The donation will benefit students from Pre-Kindergarten to 2nd grade in Waretown Elementary School and 3rd to 6th grades in Frederic A. Priff School. “For us, it’s about trying to give young children the best possible opportunity to learn on a level playing ground,” said Kevin Campbell of KCS General Contracting.
The donation consisted of:
- 432 highlighters
- 150 gluesticks
- 968 pack boxes of crayons
- 250 single pocket folders
