These donations will help offset the costs underprivileged families incur getting their students ready for the school year

OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY – September 15, 2021

This September, two small businesses in Ocean County – S-FX Small Business Solutions (a web design & technology consulting agency) and KCS General Contracting (a home improvement contractor) – teamed up to donate 488 items supplies to the Lakehurst School District, a public Elementary School in Lakehurst, NJ.

The donated supplies were on the school’s annual list of required items for classes and will meet the needs of over 150 students. It helps offset the costs underprivileged families incur getting their children ready for the school year starting in September.

Lakehurst Elementary School is serving 335 students for the 2021 school year. We want to take the weight off the shoulders of as many families as we can by providing basic supplies,” said Shane Skwarek, Owner & Chief Technologist of S-FX.  “Childhood education is essential to the community.”

The donation will benefit students from Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grade. “We are happy to help, whenever it means that children have a better opportunity to learn,” said Kevin Campbell of KCS General Contracting.

The donation consisted of:

  • 96 units of 8-packs of colored pencils
  • 144 pairs of scissors
  • 150 glue sticks
  • 96 units of 12-packs of washable markers
